The cause of beatification was started in
1935. |

The informative Process of Roermond
(Netherlands) was opened on 28 November 1938. |
|
The Decree on the Introduction of the Cause
is dated 10 July 1942. |
|
The Process of Trier (Germany) - "super
miris" - was opened on 18 January 1944. |
|
The Extraordinary Congress on the virtues
"in specie" was held on 10 October 1972 the Plenary Congregation on 28
November 1972. |
|
The Decree on the Heroic Virtues was
published on 10 May 1973. |
|
The two Processes conducted in the Curia of
Trier - "super miro " - were declared valid by the Decree of 6 July
1973. |
|
The special Congress of the Theological
Consulters on the miracles was held on 14 January 1975; the ordinary
Congress on 11 March 1975. |
|
The Decree of Approval of the miracles,
required for the beatification, was promulgated on 23 May 1975. |
|
The Supreme Pontiff Paul VI proclaimed him
Blessed on 19 October 1975. |

|
In view of the canonization |
| The case of the cure
presented for the canonization regards the young girl, Pamela Avellanosa.
The Diocesan Investigation was celebrated in the Apostolic Vicariate of
Baguio (Philippines) from 25 June to 20 October 1999, and was recognized
as valid by the Congregation for the Causes of the Saints on 7 April
2000. |
| During August 2000, also in
the Apostolic Vicariate of Baguio, a Supplementary Investigation was
conducted and declared valid on 17 November 2000. |
| The Medical Consultation of
the Dicastery examined the case on 18 April 2002, and found that the
cure of the "serious cranial-encephalic trauma with formation of an
epidural hematoma on the right side, profound coma, central apnea,
endocrinal hypertension and parietal fracture", was rapid, complete,
lasting and scientifically inexplicable. |
| After this positive result,
the Special Congress of the Theological Consulters was held on 18
October 2002, and the Ordinary Session of the Cardinals and Bishops on
19 November 2002. |
| The Decree "super miraculo"
was promulgated on 20 December 2002, in the presence of the Holy Father
John Paul II. |
