As restless
pilgrims we journey through life in search of love, truth, and
happiness. The roads we take are not always easy. Often times we face
difficulties, adversities, and suffering. Nevertheless,
we keep on moving along because deep in our hearts we believe that Christ is our way, our
truth, and our life.
We believe that he walks with us day after day, that he suffers when
we suffer, and that he rejoices when we rejoice. He is our power and courage, our hope and
reward.
We believe, that when we find ourselves at the end of our journey Christ will
raise us up to a new life.
During the month of November we remember in a special way our loved ones who have already
finished their earthly journey and have entered the new life. Although they are no longer
with us their presence is still keenly felt. The Feast of All Souls is an occasion to
intercede for our deceased parents, sisters, brothers, children, and friends. Our
prayers offered for them, are not only a wonderful way of remembering them
but also a way of invoking God's mercy and blessing.

The All Souls
Novena of Masses will be celebrated in our chapel in our Mission House in Riverside. The
names of the deceased will be placed on the alter and for nine days the missionary
community of the Society of the Divine Word will pray for their eternal peace.

Lord
listen to our prayers for our deceased brothers and sisters. As they
always desired to do your will, so in your mercy forgive whatever wrong
they may have done. By their Christian faith they were united with all
your believing people. Now, in love and mercy give them a place with
your angels and saints. Amen.
